Maybe the GEDtool is better to handle csv import, as suggested by Hermann, I haven’t tried it though. A simple csv test file is included in the above guidance from Gramps to better test this import function. It took me awhile to get it to work as I wanted. This may require several trials on your part before it works so you fully understand how this Gramps import process functions. Always make a copy of your original csv file and only make changes to the copy file to test this. Field names need to be in accordance with Gramps csv field names so you may need to make changes to you csv file for this to work. If your csv file isn’t configured as Gramps expects it to be for proper import then it will fail.
